Navarre is a publisher and distributor of digital home entertainment and multimedia products, including popular game consoles Wii, Play Station 2 & 3, Xbox, Xbox 360, Game Cube and Nintendo DS. They also hold or own the exclusive licensing rights of PC software, video game and DVD content through their subsidiaries Encore Software, Inc., BCI Eclipse, LLC and Funimation. Navarre clients attending the Interchange included video game producers and distributors. Navarre guests bagan their 4 day event with an authentic Bavarian Oktoberfest in the host property at the Zermatt Resort and Spa in Midway, Utah. Opening night was complete with a polka band, Alpine horns and plenty of German beer. The rest of the week was full of festivities including a special Flying Aces trampoline and water show at the Utah Olympic Park, a western style Vegas casino night featuring a Texas Hold' Em tournament, a private concert and dinner with headliners Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo and a Mountain Man Rendezvous. Kate Whitchurch, operations manager for the event commented, "The Navarre Interchange was a great project to work on. Despite the logistical challenges [the closing night event was produced in an empty meadow in the middle of nowhere], this event was a rewarding one. It was a highly complex program, but it went off without a hitch. I am proud to say that I was part of it." The 2009 Interchange event will be held in Austin, Texas. Archived |
